CARYLON LEWIS

Mrs. Carylon Ann “Southern Girl” Lewis, 61, of Stamps passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.

She was born October 24, 1955, in Waldo to Eugene Howell and Darlene “Doll” Hill.

She graduated from high school in Dallas, Texas, and later moved back to Arkansas and worked for Alan White in Stamps as a seamstress for many years. She was a proud member of True Worship Church in Waldo.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Victor Lewis.

Survivors include two children, Ms. Shawntrease “Bunny” Johnson and Robert “Bug” Johnson; her father; Eugene Howell of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Turner of Waldo and Mrs. Charmyne Howell-Kabbara of Dallas; six brothers, Fredrick Kelley, Donald “Greg” Murray, Coronet Howell, and Art Howell, all of Dallas, and Wallace “Ray” Turner and Scott “Amp” Howell of Waldo; and three grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 2, at noon at the Columbia District Auditorium in Magnolia. Officiating will be Pastor Joyce Easter. Cremation will follow.

Visitation with the family will be 2-5 p.m. Friday, September 1, at the funeral home.
